ITA's “Employee of the Year” award was presented to Michelle Junkins of Adams Township, Hamilton County.
Michelle was awarded the title for 2010 for her ten years of service to the township which was described as “above and beyond what is expected of her.” Michelle was described in her nomination that she “never worries about the time – she simply does her work until the job is completed.” The Trustee of Adams Township, Linda Williams, said, “She can do everything that I, the Trustee can do, which helps the office to run smoothly.” Noted by the presenter of the award, Michelle works tirelessly by collecting food for the needy, investigating requests for township assistance and by performing the clerical duties of the township. She was awarded the ‘2009 Board Member of the Year’ by Indiana Main Street and has volunteered her time for the Indiana Township Association Conference Committee, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Sesquicentennial Committee for Sheridan’s 150th birthday.
