On behalf of the Indiana Township Association, congratulations on your new position as a township official!

The Indiana Township Association (ITA) is a 128 year-old membership services organization with the primary purposes to educate township officials, provide a lobbying presence in the Indiana General Assembly and provide communication services between and amongst townships.

Over many years of working with hundreds of new trustees and board members, the ITA has discovered a number of threats that have hampered first term success.  “Trying to do it alone” or assuming that because “it’s the way it’s always been done” is the right way are without doubt the biggest hazards to your success.  Accessing mentors and education is the simple solution for avoiding a collision course with failure.

We are extending to all newly elected trustees and board members the opportunity for a one-day training session where information regarding your primary duties will be provided in a classroom format.  Space is limited so we are opening this to those who have not attended any training in the past with the ITA.
